Kochi: ‘The Kerala Story’ will be screened by another Church in North Kerala after it was screened for students in the Southern part of the state the other day by another diocese, media reports said.
Thamarassery diocese of Syro Malabar Church has decided to follow what the Idukki diocese had done the other day by showing the film to some school students to create awareness among them as part of a training programme.
The Thamarassery diocese said the film will be screened in all Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) units from Saturday. The diocese justified their decision saying that the film was not banned in the state. The film is about a group of women from a different community in Kerala forcefully converted to Islam and join ISIS.
The film was shown by public broadcaster Doordarshan the other day.
