Kochi: The BJP-led NDA won the assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh for third term while the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) returned to power in Sikkim on Sunday, media reports said.
BJP won 46 out of 60 seats in Arunachal Pradesh and SKM in 32 assembly seats in Sikkim where elections were held on April 19.
Results were declared for 50 of the 60 assembly seats out of which ten seats were won unopposed by BJP in Arunachal Pradesh. Ten party candidates including Chief Minister Pema Khandu had won unopposed.
The SKM returned to power by winning 31 of the 32 seats. The opposition Sikkim Democratic Front got only one seat.
