Kochi: A probe has confirmed illegal access ofthe memory card containing visuals of the 2017 actor assault case in which actor Dileep is an accused, media reports said.
The investigation conducted by the Ernakulam District Sessions Judge as per the order of the m Kerala High Court found that the card was accessed and examined by Angamaly Magistrate Leena Rasheed, a district court judge’s personal assistant, and trial court sheristadar Thajudeen.
It was the Thiruvananthapuram Forensic Lab which had found illegal access to the card during non working hours.The lab was approached by the police in a bid to ensure that the secrecy of the card was intact.
Following this the actor approached the High Court alleging the footage on the memory card had been accessed, copied and transferred illegally.Based on this the High Court directed the investigation into illegal access.
Actor Dileep was arrested on July 17, 2017, in connection with the Sexual assault of the actor on February 17, 2017. He was in jail for about three months after which he secured a bail.
