Kochi: Kerala is set to get another Vande Bharat express taking the total number of trains to three, media reports said.The move is seen as an effort to silence the critics of the BJP government, blaming it for not doing anything to the state ruled by the Left government.The new one is expected to operate between Kerala’s commercial capital of Ernakulam and IT city of Bengaluru. The new Vande Bharat is expected to reach Bengaluru in nine hours.
An issue haunting the railways is the shortage of maintenance yards to take care of the rake which is now stationed at Kollam.Facilities are being readied at Ernakulam marshaling yard for parking it.
The existing Vande Bharat trains run in Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore routes via two different routes of Kottayam and Alappuzha, the reports said.
