Kochi: US have predicted an Iranian attack on Israel forcing some countries to issue warning its citizens to remain in safe zones, media reports said. The possible attack is suposed to be a retaliation to attack on Iranian Embassy in Syria on April 1 that killed a top Iranian general and six military officers.
Iran blamed Israel for the attack and criticised the UN Security Council for not condemning the strike.Even as Israel has not owned up attacking the consulate in Syria, Tel Aviv said it is ready to defend itself amidst ongoing military operations in Gaza.
While countries like Russia, Britain and Germany have appealed for peace in the region, the US has warned Iran against any aggression against Israel. The US said it is devoted to the defence of Israel and it will support Israel.Iran supports Hamas of Palestine and other proxy groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon constantly fighting against Israel. Iran and Gulf countries do not want a full-scale war. The US, UK, India and Australia to warn against travel to Israel. Germany called on its citizens to leave Iran. Israeli has not adviced any new alert to its citizen except its existing guidance to stock up on water, food for three days and essential medicine. Israeli military has cancelled leave for troops.
Thirteen people were killed in the 1 April missile strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
